The future looks gr…

I’ve use an original cover of the 1951 Festival of Britain exhibition brochure – the original ‘tonic for the nation’. The ‘Paper Trail sample’ acting as a megaphone to reinforcing/reiterating the 1951 ethos. This shouts at our current political issues in the UK, 60 years after the exhibition.
‘The future looks gr…’ is an invitation for the viewer to complete positively or negatively. This lettering is made from ‘plastic’ – another current political issue. The final extended megaphone is in purple glitter, again could represent the ‘wallpaper’ of todays politics stance ‘all smoke and mirrors’.
