Are you interested in capturing local history before it is lost? This one day workshop will show you how to work with local people to record their history. It will cover:
- What is oral history?
- Who to interview, and what questions to ask.
- An introduction to recording equipment
- The interview: do’s and don’ts
- Interviewing techniques
- Summarising, transcription, copyright, archiving
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
This workshop is open to those working in museums and archives and also to artists who work with archives, heritage and memory and wish to increase their skills and knowledge.
