In 1971, the world’s first women’s refuge was opened in Chiswick.
This work is made from found synthetic string, darning wool, twigs and lavender sticks and a piece of Barcham Green paper from 1971 printed with the contents page of a 1971 issue of the magazine “Family Circle”.
