I loved watching Andy Pandy. For a long time I thought he was a she, probably because my name is Ann and he seemed very girly to me.

Andy Pandy appeared on TV in 1950, on For the Children (later Watch with Mother).

The programmes were originally transmitted live, then recorded and repeated until 1969.

In 1970 new episodes were made…..in colour.

I squared up my piece of 1950 heritage paper and used a bit of the trimming to make Andy’s distinctive collar.
